Custom Compounding

Women's Health & Hormone Therapy
Compounded, prescriber-directed hormone therapy for women — estradiol, estriol and Bi-Est combinations, progesterone, low-dose testosterone, and DHEA — prepared as topical creams, oral capsules, sublingual troches, and vaginal creams or suppositories. Strengths and dosage forms are set by the prescriber and adjusted between refills, and every hormone preparation is compounded inside a USP <800> workflow.
Compounded hormone preparations are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. They are prescribed by licensed providers based on individual patient need, and Bloom does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Nonsterile Preparations
The chapter behind everything we compound outside a sterile environment — creams and gels, capsules, troches, suppositories, and oral solutions.

Hazardous Drugs
Hazardous Drugs — Handling in Healthcare Settings applies to drugs on the NIOSH List of Hazardous Drugs, which includes many hormones: estradiol, estriol, progesterone, and testosterone among them. Hormone therapy is compounded here under an assessment of risk or full containment, so staff, patients, and the environment stay protected.
